Kudala Sangama is one of the most historic place since around 800 years. The famous rivers Krishna and Ghataprabha merge here. Basava (also known as Basaveshwara or Basavanna) took nirvana in this place in the year 1196. The Aikya Mantapa or the holy Samadhi of Basavanna, the founder of the Lingayat faith along with Linga, which is believed to be self-born, is situated here
